Preparing for Launch...
What started as a hacked together idea has grown into a full fledged product. A lot of the credit goes to Phyto for direction and the "GV" Discord community for their bug testing and support.
Wouldn't it be neat if Alexa could exist in your Discord server? That's the goal behind "HeyBilly", who appears to be the most advanced Discord voice assistant out there. He can play music, post videos, fetch news stories, and other cool stuff.
Is This For Me?
If you spend a lot of time in Discord voice channels... probably. The Discord admin will need to add the bot and then you can start using it. If the server owner hasn't subscribed, HeyBilly is limited to 10 commands per day per server.
Okay Billy, put on some Lo-Fi music!
If you're a server owner, you can subscribe to HeyBilly and give your entire community access. From the Dashboard you can transfer your subscription and manage your server's settings. In the future, we'll be adding some features like:
- Set HeyBilly's avatar for your server.
- Provide HeyBilly with a custom tone/personality.
Early Stages
HeyBilly was born about 3 weeks ago and has been in development since. The foundation is solid and the features are growing. The end-goal is to make HeyBilly one of the most useful Discord bots out there.
If that sounds exciting to you, consider joining the HeyBilly 🌾 Discord to give us feedback and help shape the future of HeyBilly. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
But When Launch?
The last step is setting up the billing system. Once that's done, we'll be ready to launch. My current estimate is 1-2 weeks from now. Once that's done, there will be a trial plan, paid plans, and then we can get to work on new features, integrations, and improvements. Thanks for reading!
